Let’s Pray: Prayers for children to pray

Let’s Pray is the prayers for children series from Christian BSL. The prayers have been specially written and signed for children to pray themselves, and for families, schools, and churches to pray along with the children in their lives. Our Let’s Pray prayers were written by Revd Dawn Harrison, Diocesan Schools’ Adviser and the Bishop’s Officer for Spiritual Direction in the Church of England Diocese of Liverpool. Prior to ordination Dawn worked as a teacher in both primary and special needs schools, she has a diploma in Psychology and a masters in Christian Spirituality. The prayers have been translated and signed by Deaf Christian Mary-Jayne Russell de Clifford, a professional drama scriptwriter, facilitator, and director, a BSL worship leader and trainer, a BSL story-teller, and a mentor. Mary-Jayne has a degree in Theatre Arts, Education, and Deaf Studies. She is a mother to an autistic teenage boy whose view of the world, she says, has allowed her to see the world in a very different light.
