A British Sign Language (BSL) translation of The Middle East. From the beginning of the 20th century the term Middle East replaced the term Near East. The Middle East refers to multiple countries, across multiple continents. It includes most of Western Asia (although usually this excludes the Caucasus), Iran, and all of Egypt (which is mostly in North Africa).
