Plague (Disease)

A British Sign Language (BSL) translation of Plague (Disease). A serious bacterial disease caused by the bacterium Yersinia pestis which is transmitted from rodents to humans by the bite of infected fleas. It occurs in three forms including the so-called Black Death; remaining endemic in some countries, it is virtually wiped out in the UK but killed millions during the Middle Ages.
