Scroll

A British Sign Language (BSL) translation of Scroll. Sheets of papyrus, parchment or leather, joined together in rolls up to 10 metres long, on which the Jewish scriptures were written in columns. Each end of the roll was wrapped round a wooden roller that doubled as a handle, so that one column of writing could be revealed and read at a time.
