A reflection on the Lord’s Prayer, led in British Sign Language (BSL)

TRANSCRIPT:

I can sign OUR
because I am a member of God’s family.
I can sign FATHER
because I honour and respect Him.
I can sign WHO ART IN HEAVEN
because I believe all I do can be a part of God’s greater plan.
I can sign HALLOWED BE THY NAME
when I try to live a holy life.
I can sign THY KINGDOM COME
because I try to let God be Lord of my life.
I can sign THY WILL BE DONE
if I do not insist on doing everything “my way”.
I can sign ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN
Because I want to serve God and to make a difference in the world.
I can sign GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD
if I help people who have little.
I can sign FORGIVE US OUR TRESPASSES AS WE FORGIVE THOSE
WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US
if I do not hold grudges or resent others.
I can sign LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION
if I really try to avoid and resist temptation.
I can sign DELIVER US FROM EVIL
if I resist what is wrong with prayer and am determined to do what is right.
I can sign THINE IS THE KINGDOM, THE POWER AND THE GLORY
if I try to please God and make His love known to others.
I can sign FOREVER
if I am confident that my life is for eternity.
So, in faith and hope and love I will now sign.
AMEN
